Vision for Homes built an aid post for the Kopeng community in Tambul Nebilyer District, Western Highlands on behalf of Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority (WHPHA) and Tambul Nebilyer District Development Authority (DDA).

Construction started December 2020, completed June 2021

On behalf of Vison for Homes Board, the Community leaders and people of Kopeng, may I take this opportunity to thank all our partners – Partner Housing Australasia (Australian NGO), Digicel PNG Foundation, Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority and Tambul Nebilyer DDA for making grants available to this impact project that will stand to serve and address health related issues in this part of the world.

Official opening December 2021

The aid post was jointly opened by Sr Janet Yamu, Acting CEO, WHPHA and Mr Philip Talpa, CEO, Tambul Nebilyer DDA. The Kopeng community concluded the ceremony with a traditional dance.

The WHPHA has staffed and equipped the aid post, with the first nursing officer commencing work in January 2022.
